Community Counseling services provide family, individual and couples counseling from a Christian perspective, addressing anxiety, depression, anger, grief, loss, trauma, family conflicts, problems for children and many other questions around emotional, spiritual or relational goals. Outreach staff provide support and encouragement to scholarship recipients. In the College Opportunity Program¸ high school students participate in college preparation courses, providing education, life skills and employment activities that prepare youth for college, vocational training or entering the military.Assisting more than 300 individuals annually. Outreach also works on school attendance for the chronically truant and with youth under the supervision of the juvenile court. The program’s goal is to stabilize the family structure so that the youth can return home. We work with youth who have run away or are locked out of their home by their parents. Outreach serves youth at risk of involvement in the child welfare and/or the juvenile justice system.Assisting more than 40 individuals annually. Children and youth participate in one-on-one relationships with adult volunteer mentors, forging strong, supportive relationships that encourage healthy life choices and increase self-esteem.Assisting more than 800 students annually. Throughout these education programs, regular faith development activities are held, with parent permission. From after-school programs to all-day summer school, Outreach’s Elementary and Middle School Education Programs work with each student on growing academic skills and increasing success in school. Outreach Community Ministries and its partner churches are dedicated to offering a full range of human service, educational, community development and faith.Placement in permanent employment at either the internship site or in a related position, or enrollment in an apprenticeship program, technical school or junior college to access higher-skilled employment and career opportunities.A four-month, paid internship in the private sector in an industry of interest for the student. ![]()
